The Garden

Open hearts and Open Hands

“Cultivating passion for Community and God’s Creation”

Tree of Life's community garden ministry exists to connect people to God and one another through common work. The garden provides food and will be used for ongoing provision as well as helping people in times of need. It is a place of work and rest, restoration and renewal. Like the first garden, the Garden of Eden, the food produced will feed His people.  Like the garden of Eden, it is a place for community and beauty, bringing God’s joy to people. It is a place of satisfaction, as we work with our hands, connecting to the good earth He gave us. God’s command to Adam and Eve to tend the garden was a blessing to them, and so it is a blessing to us. We receive it with open hearts. We cultivate it with open hands.

Luke 13:18-19

Then Jesus asked, “What is the kingdom of God like? What shall I compare it to?

It is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his garden.

It grew and became a tree, and the birds perched in its branches.”

Come to the garden and know our Lord Jesus Christ.

Come to the garden and renew your relationship with your Heavenly Father.

Come to the garden and experience his Spirit.

Take in the joy and beauty of his creation.

Come to the garden for friendship with others.

Come to the garden for satisfaction of good work.

Come to the garden and share the bounty of harvest for those in need

Come and teach, come and learn.

God blessed us with the garden at creation, and He will renew the garden at His return!

Come to the garden, pray and see His glory everyday!
